Develop the core structure of the track and create a satisfying 'energy arc'
Week 2: Sound Design
Focus on fleshing out the identity of the track by making each voice sound it's best
Week 3: Core Mixing
How do our sounds fit together? Maximizing clarity and dynamics
Week 4: Cleanup and Share Progress
A final pass for cleanup
Stream 2: Progressed Ideas
Our progressed ideas will be shared in a second stream at the end of the event
Best Practices
Give More than You Get
Finish February is an event about exchanging insight and critique, not dropping your track off and walking away. Give quality feedback to receive it in return.
Update a single post, don't add new threads
Edit your existing posts! Add "UPDATE - " to your forum post title and spend a moment describing what you've changed from previous versions.
Include your Artist Name in the Forum Post
Artist Name - Track Title
This helps everyone identify your track at a glance
Describe the kind of feedback you're looking for
Make sure to describe what you'd like feedback on and use the existing post tags for Composition, Sound Design and Mixing
No Seed Left Behind
Use the forum's 'Recently Active' sort view and try to give feedback to people with fewer comments, to assure that we all benefit from shared insight
